Q: Which platforms does Mobile Admin support?

Mobile Admin supports iPhone and iPad, Android-based smartphones and tablets, and BlackBerry devices. We also have a web-based client for the Playbook. Kindle Fire will be available soon.

Q: Can I try Mobile Admin first?

Of course! We offer everyone a free 14 day trial, so you can test drive all the features you want to use. We also give you full access to our support team from Day 1 of your trial. If you have any questions or issues, please visit our support page.

Q: I tried Mobile Admin a while ago and a new version of Mobile Admin just came out; will you offer me another trial of Mobile Admin?

Licensing

Q: Can I use Mobile Admin on multiple devices?

Yes, you can access Mobile Admin from your iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and Android smartphone or tablet with one license. It’s what we call A2 licensing. You can access Mobile Admin anytime, anywhere with the any of the devices we support.

Q: Is licensing concurrent or user-based? Can I have one license and share it between my team members?

Licensing is user-based. That means there is one license per user and with one license, that user can manage his or her full visible network from any of the mobile devices that we support. To share one license between team members would be a violation of your licensing agreement.

Q: Can we have different types of licenses on the same account?

Of course, we understand that not everybody on your team needs to be able to manage everything. You can definitely purchase, for example, some ProPlus licenses and a few Professional licenses on the same order. Licensing is per user and the limit of what that user can do is defined by the credentials he or she will be using.

Q: How long has Rove been in business?

Rove was founded in 2001. Originally, it was called Idokorro. Idokorro pioneered applications for handhelds such as remote over-the-air access to computers and mobile IT management and changed its name to Rove in 2007. Around the same time, Rove developed Mobile Admin.
